This book serves as a record of a collection, the likes of what is unlikely to be seen again. The museum attracted many visitors throughout its long history at several locations, finally residing at the Jamaica Inn in Cornwall, where after many years it was finally sold via auction and dispersed worldwide.

This book was produced for an exhibition of taxidermy by Sheals at the Belfast Museum in the 1980’s. Published in soft back format only, this book provides a detailed account of their work. Containing many colour photographs it is a must have book for the taxidermy library.

Another fine publication from Pat Morris.  An amazing record of the Van Ingen Company located in Mysore, India. Renown for big game trophies, Van Ingen’s factory and output was astonishing, employing around 100 people in its heyday made it probably the largest taxidermy business of any in the world. This book contains over 450 b/w photographs along with some in full colour. This is a must have book for those collectors interested in big game taxidermy of a bygone colonial age.
